Ipoh Vintage Car Club

The newly registered Ipoh Vintage Car Club organised a Chinese New Year gathering among its members, fellow hobbyists, friends and supporters, in conjunction with the club’s third anniversary.

Held on Sunday, February 9, the tenth day of the Spring Festival, at the car park of Stadium Perak, it was also a pot-luck open house of sorts, as everyone contributed snacks to enliven the occasion.

About 50 cars were showcased, bringing together vintage and classic models from different eras. Some of the models displayed were Morris Minor 1000, Fiat 600D, MG Sports and MG Midget, mostly owned by Ipohites.

The gathering also attracted car enthusiasts from as far as Kuala Lumpur and the United Kingdom. It was a good platform for them to exchange notes on car restoration and modification.

Members of Ipoh Vintage Car Club meet up at the car park of Stadium Perak every Sunday morning. The club has currently currently has about 30 members. Those keen on joining the club can contact Chow Kum Chuan (Uncle Chow) at 019 574 9881.
