Donations for Roslan Family

The hardship that is being faced by the Roslan family, which was highlighted in Ipoh Echo recently, has generated much interest among Ipohites.

Roslan’s wife, Aziah Mohd Hashim, was overcome by emotions when she received RM1000 deposited into her Bank Simpanan Nasional account by an anonymous donor.

“I am touched by the generosity. The RM1000 means so much to my family, especially my kids who are still schooling. I’d like to express my sincere gratitude to the kind-hearted donor, whoever he or she may be,” she told Ipoh Echo.

Aziah pledged to make full use of the money, not only for her family’s needs but for the education of her five children who have to skip school because of financial constraints.

“I too wish to thank Yayasan Bina Upaya Darul Ridzuan for building us a new house. The house will be completed in early April. We’ll be a lot more comfortable compared to before,” she added. The family is temporarily accommodated in Falim, Menglembu.

Roslan’s hard luck story had also caught the attention of Perak Barisan Nasional Public Service and Complaints Centre. Mohd Rawi Abdullah, the bureau chief, visited the family’s home in Pengkalan Gate, Lahat recently and presented a food hamper worth RM500.

“The plight of the Roslan family is most unfortunate. Not only do they not have nutritious food, the children’s education and their safety are also affected,” said Mohd Rawi. He hoped more people would come forward to help.

Donations can be banked in to Aziah’s Bank Simpanan Nasional savings account No: 08001-41-00004374-8.
