This society was established in October, 1967. A pilot project for the rehabilitation of mental patients was started under the brainchild of Tan Sri Dato’ Seri Azlanii Dr M. Mahadevan who was then a consultant psychiatrist and later became the Director of Hospital Bahagia. Its motto is “Curing by Caring”. The current President is Dato’ Dr M. Majumder, a very dedicated individual who took the helm of this society in 1985 till now. The EXCO consists of a Vice President, Hon. Secretary, Assistant Secretary, Hon. Treasurer and eight EXCO members who are a driving force to be reckoned with.
So, in order to proceed with our sincere dedications and devotion to this society, we are appealing for a van to be donated to this society whereby the donor’s name will be printed onto the van. This Society is fortunate to have a dedicated counsellor, 30 staff, drivers and well-wishers to promote a better standard of mental health socially and educationally necessary to live in the community.
