Cheers to Oktoberfest in WEIL

by Khaleeja Suhaimi

The world’s largest festival, Oktoberfest also known as Beer Festival, makes its way again to WEIL from September 16 till October 2. Oktoberfest is a German annual festival held in Munich, Bavaria since 1810.

It is usually held either in mid or end of September till the first weekend of October. In conjunction with this, The Deck Gastrobar celebrates by serving the German ‘Stark’ Platter for 6 pax at RM58 nett, ‘Mittel’ Platter for 4 pax at RM48 nett and the ‘Dame’ Platter for 2 pax at RM38 nett.

Each platter is named according to its German definition, where “stark” means “strong”, “mittel” means “medium” and “dame” means “lady”. The platter consists of potato pancake, veal schnitzel with garlic gravy, jumbo beef bratwurst, mini rock salt and sesame pretzels, battered fried button mushroom with onion gravy, seaweed sauerkraut and chicken currywurst.

“These deep fried and salty platters go well with beer. It washes down easier and gives the beer an extra sweet taste; guests will love it,” said Chef Dennis.

The Deck is offering a bucket promotion with special platter from RM128 and tower promotion with special platter from RM108. Along with good music by live bands and DJ, cheers to excellent beers and food.
