Celebrating Malaysia @ Impiana

 
Running on the theme “Celebrating Malaysia”, Impiana Hotel, Ipoh is unveiling a feast of uniquely-prepared Malaysian food for their hi-tea buffet spread in conjunction with Merdeka Day.
 
To be held at The Coffee House, authentic local cuisines such as mee rebus (noodle with sweet and savoury sauce), pineapple fried rice, mamak-style sup tulang rawan (gristle soup), Ipoh yong tau foo (tofu products and vegetables stuffed with fish paste), cucur ikan bilis (anchovy fritters), pisang goreng (banana fritters), dim sum (steamed or fried savoury dumplings), apam balik (turnover pancake), rojak (salad) and more will be crafted to satisfy diners’ palate.
 

 
As for dessert, there will be cendol (sweet dessert), bubur kacang merah (red bean porridge), honey dew sago, local Malay kuih (cakes), assorted pies and tarts complete with an ice-cream counter for the young ones.
 
The team of skilled chefs is adding a fusion touch on dishes such as acar itik (vegetable pickle with duck) and kerabu sushi (salad ) to spice up the variety.Thus, the high-tea from 12pm to 4pm will feature a live carving station offering roasted rosemary chicken and roasted beef tenderloin too.
 
It is priced at RM40 nett per adult and RM25 nett per child (5-12 years) as well as senior citizen (65 years and above).
 

 
Meanwhile, The Deli is having a “Santai-Santai Petang” promotion from 2pm to 6pm daily starting July. The high-tea set, which is priced at RM10 nett each, comes with a snack plate choice of either cucur udang (prawn fritters), cucur ikan bilis, pisang goreng, roti jala (lace pancake) or keledek goreng (sweet potato fritters) to go along with a glass of their signature frothy teh tarik. The cucur udang emerges as the all-time crowd favourite.
