High-speed Internet Connection

WEIL Hotel is the first hotel in Ipoh to offer its guests world-class entertainment, after it secured high-speed internet connection via Telekom Malaysia Berhad (TM) Hospitality Entertainment Solution.
According to TM Perak General Manager, Badrul Hisham Bahari, the all-in-one Hospitality Entertainment Solution provides High Speed Broadband Internet access via Direct Over Metro-E (DOME) with speeds of up to 20 Mbps.
This high quality ‘plug-and-play’ internet access will definitely add value to the hotel’s guests, as they can remain connected with their loved ones. Business guests can enjoy secure access to their corporate intranet enabling them to stay productive while they are away from their office.
The momentous signing ceremony was witnessed by State Tourism, Arts, Culture, Multimedia and Communications Committee chairman Dato’ Nolee Ashilin Mohammed Radzi on Monday, Aug 14. WEIL Hotel was represented by its Executive Director Liew Yu-Wei and General Manager George King Lian Ting.
Commenting on the collaboration, Badrul Hisham said TM is excited with the collaboration, which marks the first hotel in Ipoh to secure the high speed internet via TM’s Hospitality Entertainment Solution.
“We’re glad and excited to join this collaboration for the provisioning of Hospitality Entertainment Solution. We’d also like to congratulate the management of WEIL hotel for their efforts to enhance their guests’ stay experience,” he said.
Liew in his speech said that earlier in June this year, WEIL Hotel launched a new room floor coined as ‘Concept by WEIL’ which is designed as a boutique hotel within a hotel.
“There are four concept designs namely Brewster, Summer Bliss, Telegraph and Miners. In order to cater to demands from travellers and the needs of a stable internet access, we’ve equipped each concept room with its own dedicated Wi-Fi access point. It’s completed with additional 300Mbps UniFi connectivity which makes us the hotel with the highest speed and uninterrupted internet amongst the hotels in Ipoh,” added Liew.
“This is what we want, the creativity of the private sector to propel further not only the name of the hotel but also the overall Perak tourism industry,” said Nolee.
