Embrace the Mexican traditions of honouring the dead as you step into the Lost World of Tambun as Malaysia’s first Day of The Dead event unfolds for the whole month of October.
The Instagram-able and family-friendly Halloween will bring you on a journey of beauty, art and death with never before experienced activities.
“This year’s theme is the artistic beauty and death as found in the traditional Mexican Day of The Dead art. We wish to introduce to our visitors something different from the regular American style of Halloween celebration that we see on popular media. We want to introduce our visitors to another style of Halloween,” explained Nurul Nuzairi, General Manager of the Lost World of Tambun.
In Mexico, the Day of the Dead or Día de Muertos is a day of remembrance of those who have departed. The festival is known internationally for their festive art, namely the skull art.
“Each year with every festive campaign that we celebrate, our team has worked very hard to put together a wholly unique concept where death is seen as being beautiful as opposed to being seen as grotesque where life after death is celebrated and not forgotten,” he added.
Guests will get to have their faces painted based on the Day of the Dead-inspired art with luminous paint, try their hand at making their own Voodoo dolls, have their fortunes told by a ghostly Tarot card reader and selfie with the characters.
The month-long Day of The Dead theme will feature The Beauty of Death Parade, A Night To Remember, DJ El Loco Party, The Touch Of The Dead as well as the Soul Of The Fire.
A brand-new attraction, Forest of The Dead which will feature a magical life to death journey.
Party of The Dead will be a themed party which will be held on October 31 where visitors who dress up in a Halloween costume will be given a 50 per cent discount off the Night Park ticket (published rate) as part of the walk in promotion. Each package will include an entrance to Party of The Dead, a Blood Bag Drink or a Devil Horn Headband.
