By Joelyn Jonathan

The MAMAPRENEUR in Education 2019 was held at the Perak Youth Hub at Kinta River Walk, Ipoh. The event was organised by the Private Education Entrepreneur Association of Malaysia (PEEAM) as an initiative to empower women and mothers who are looking forward to starting a business.

The President of Perak Society of Performing Arts (PSPA) Datin Rosalina Mary Ooi Poh Gaik and the Chief Operating Officer of Kedios Berhad, Chan Wen Dee were two of the guest speakers during the event.

According to organising chairman, Ramen Khoo Kok Liang, MAMAPRENEUR acts as an effort to inspire all mothers to grow and expand their business. “Our objective is to support and provide these mothers with entrepreneurial skills, knowledge and leadership. We would also want to bring business and career opportunities to these mothers, especially in the education field.”

During the session by Datin Rosalina, she shared her belief about how education is not just about studying but comes in many different forms.

“Women all around the world should break the chain and be free,” she said.

The event then concluded with a profile report check for RM20.
