Meru Valley Resort Spread Cheers to Less Fortunate

Meru Valley Resort’s dedication to corporate social responsibility was further demonstrated with a visit to Pertubuhan Jagaan Kanak-Kanak Setia at Silibin on Thursday, May 31.

Being a responsible corporate citizen of an organisation that has been blessed with success and favour, Meru Valley Resort organises community outreach programmes to help those in need from time to time.

Pertubuhan Jagaan Kanak-Kanak Setia has been providing care for 40 disabled children and adults who have been abused, neglected, abandoned, orphaned and at-risk for the past 20 years. The residents are between six and 50 years of age.

The CSR initiative aims to cultivate relations among employees towards a common cause and promotes engagement with the community. The senior management team of the resort participated in the programme.

The welfare home was presented with essential items including rice, oil, canned food and toiletries in support of the home’s daily operations and necessities. The visit gave the team a firsthand understanding about the residents’ needs.

“Through this CSR programme, we aim to instil awareness on the need to care for senior citizens and children with love, moral and financial support. This would give them hope to look forward to a better future with enthusiasm and confidence,” said Florence Foo, the General Manager of the resort.
