Blood Donation Drive

To celebrate the bicentenary of the birth of Baha’u’llah, Founder of the Baha’i Faith, the Baha’i community in Ipoh organised a blood donation drive at its premise in Bercham on Sunday, July 2.
The half-day event received an overwhelming response from members of the Baha’i community, their relatives, friends and acquaintances. Some travelled from as far as Kampar to contribute for a good cause.
A total of 44 pints of blood were collected at the end of the event. According to the doctor-in-charge, Dr Mala, the drive was a success, considering it only lasted half a day.
“There are two ways of healing sickness, material means and spiritual means. The first is by treatment from physicians; the second is through prayers offered by the spiritual ones to God…” – Baha’i Writings.
