Rotary Club Of Greentown Donates Over 2000 Socks To Students At St. Michael’s Institution

The Rotary Club of Greentown recently distributed more than 2000 socks to over 1000 students over at St. Michael’s Institution (SMI) Ipoh.

The members of the club worked tirelessly from 7.45am onwards, to distribute 2454 pairs of socks to 1127 students, ensuring that all students would have this basic school necessity.

The socks, which were sponsored by the Rotary Club of Kuala Lumpur Diraja, were manufactured by Masmos, with an estimated cost of RM20,859 contributed, in this effort to contribute to the nation’s future.

Present from Rotary Club of Greentown were President Sangari Krishnan, Club Secretary Sathiyamoorthy Ramasamy, Organizing Chairman Francis Vijeyaselvan and Committee Member Abirasshiny Pillai, who were accompanied by members from SMI, the principle of SMI, Mr. Phoon Kean Loon, School Counselor Ravindran s/o Vengadasalam, Senior Assistant Mr. Mohammad Abadi b. Shaari and Senior Assistant for Curriculum Mr. Azmil Khusaini b Syed Justin.
