The three-day Karnival Pencarian Usahawan Muda (Carnival In Search of Young Entrepreneurs) organised by Majlis Amanah Rakyat (MARA), served as a platform to instil an entrepreneurial mind-set in the youths of today, particularly in Perak. The carnival, held at Bazar D’Mara, Medan Jaya recently, was launched by Ipoh City Councillor, Syamsul Baharin Putra bin Ahmad Shibi, on behalf of the Mayor.
A series of activities over the three-day period was lined up by MARA’s smart partners Celcom, Hub Brite, D’or Rue and Iyanis Green Beauty, all with the aim of helping participants to venture into business. The carnival, held for the first time, provided business-matching opportunities for owners and their potential partners.
At the carnival, five new food products were launched. The “Made in Perak” specialties were durian-flavoured and goat’s milk ice cream, Rendang Tok (beef rendang), Pekasam (fermented fish) and instant rice.
