ipoh echo issue 142, FACES Youth SocietyFACES Youth Society, together with Zakka Loft, organised a handicraft learning session for the 18 children of Joyful Children’s Orphanage Society, Ipoh (Joyful Home) recently. Children aged 4 to 17 were taught to create a doll kitten using a sock and some cotton. Two handicraft instructors from Zakka Loft were at the children’s home to teach and demonstrate. The children, with support and guidance from the volunteers of FACES, enjoyed themselves in this simple yet fun handicraft session.

After two hours of hard work, it was a delightful scene as each and every child was seen to have their own customised doll kitten in their hands. Goodie bags containing cookies, toys and stationery, courtesy of Zakka Loft, were then distributed to each child after the handicraft session.

Joyful Children’s Orphanage Society, Ipoh (Joyful Home) has recently moved to No. 3, Jalan Ghazali Jawi, 31400 Ipoh. For more information, contact Mdm Irene at 016-5463089.
