BN’s candidate for the state seat of Pasir Pinji Dato’ Thong Fah Chong, opened his campaign for Pasir Pinji by unveiling his ‘Pasir Pinji – Master Plan’ which pledged six important points, one of which is a proposal for a Community Bus to ferry “Pasir Pinji community folk to town while passing by UTC, the Post Office and the General Hospital”.
The Master Plan titled, “Help Me Make Pasir Pinji a Community for You” focused on increasing business opportunities, caring for old folks, increasing safety and security, developing youth skills and increasing welfare for the elderly.
Thong, 56, is MCA’s Ipoh Timor Chairman and was a former Pasir Pinji MP from 1999 to 2004. He will be contesting this election against newcomer Howard Lee Chuan How (DAP), 30.
The former State Assemblyman for Pasir Pinji, Thomas Su Keong Siong (DAP) will be contesting the Pasir Pinji parliamentary seat replacing Lim Kit Siang.
Thong has been serving the community for over 15 years and appealed to the community for their support to help him serve them.
