Ipoh – The Innorace Ecopark@MBI competition has successfully promoted five tourist destinations in and around the city of Ipoh.

The five tourism products are Gunung Lang, Gua Masoorat, Petting Zoo, Tasek Cermin, Kek Lok Tong, and Qing Xin Ling. The competition concluded at the Iskandar Polo Club in Tambun.

Charlie Group’s leader, Nur Shuhada Mohamad Azman, mentioned that through this program, they not only helped the Perak state government promote tourism products but also strengthened the camaraderie among MBI employees.

“Every assigned task was challenging and required patience, but we managed to complete them successfully.

“The task at ‘checkpoint 5,’ specifically at Qin Xing Ling, tested our patience the most. Each participant was required to take a photo with a different object/sculpture. Although our group was among the first to reach the location, it took us a long time to complete this task.

“Activities like this are effective in promoting tourism products, especially in the state of Perak, as all participants are likely to upload the produced videos on their respective social media platforms.

“I hope this activity continues to contribute to the tourism industry, especially with only a month left until Visit Perak 2024,” she said to Ipoh Echo/Peraktastic, accompanied by her teammates, Muzamer Ahmad, and Ahmad Tarmimi Tajudin.

The program, organized by the Quality and Publishing Management Division of the Corporate Planning Department in collaboration with the Assessment and Property Department of MBI, was officiated by the Mayor of Ipoh, Dato’ Rumaizi Baharin, at Dataran Bandaraya Ipoh yesterday.

In addition to completing tasks at the five ‘Check Points,’ participants were required to fulfil several side tasks that tested their intellect and creativity.

Winners received certificates, trophies, and cash prizes, with the champion receiving RM600.00, the runner-up RM500.00, and the third place RM400.00. There was also a consolation prize of RM100.00 for 10 teams.

Apart from the main prizes, participants who successfully produced the best ‘Vlog’ as an additional task will also receive a cash prize of RM150.00.

The prize presentation event for the winners will take place on December 1, 2023, in conjunction with the Executive Talk & Celebration of the Public Service Innovation Day at the Ipoh Convention Centre (ICC).
