Perak Pass Plus Application Benefits Tourists

The state government via Tourism Perak continues to increase the use of digitization to boost the state tourism sector.

Executive Councillor for Housing, Local Government and Tourism, Dato’ Nolee Ashilin binti Dato’ Mohammed Radzi said the collaboration with Tourplus Sdn Bhd which created the Perak Pass Plus (PPP) application is able to promote tourism products and help local operators.

“The PPP application is user-friendly and does not cause any financial implication to the state government. It’s a joint venture programme which focuses on promoting existing tourism products.

“The PPP system will soon be the official tourism application of the state. The app can be assessed and used fully beginning

May 31. It can be downloaded on Apple App Playstore, Google Playstore and Huawei App Gallery.

“It facilitates tourists in obtaining information and making bookings online. The function of 

PPP is similar to booking engines like Booking.com, Agoda and Lazada,” she said after launching the application at Tingkat Valley, Meru in conjunction with the recent open house of Tourism Perak.

Present were Mayor, Dato’ Rumaizi Baharin @ Md Daud; Chairperson of the Board of Directors of Tourism Perak, Dato’ Mohamed Kamil Dato’ Shafie and CEO of Tourism Perak, Nurmalis Musa.

According to her, tourists can make bookings for hotels, entry tickets, restaurants and others easily via the app.

“This is an improvement of the Perak Pass programme launched last year. Besides discounts, the PPP app also offers vouchers subsidised by the state government.

“The app will help us to obtain more accurate data on the number of tourist arrivals and the hotspots.
