by Rosli Mansor

SMK Raja Perempuan Ipoh met with success when it was announced that they were the winners of the Most E-Waste Collection (secondary school category) in conjunction with the Perak State Level National Environment Day 2022.

This success continues to spread the excellence of SMK RPS as one of the best schools in the city of Ipoh.

On October 19, in conjunction with the Perak State Innovation Day Celebration, SMK Raja Perempuan Ipoh collected RM10,000 from winning the Sustainable Green Earth Innovation Award.

Through their RPS BIOBOOSTER project, they received the Menteri Besar’s Special Award for Agricultural Entrepreneur Innovation.

This award is a special contribution from the Perak State Agricultural Corporation to the Innovation group with potential in the field of agribusiness.

SMK Raja Perempuan Ipoh has successfully proved its ability and high spirit in commercialising innovative products that have been produced in the market.

The school was also awarded the Green Flag Eco School at the international level from the Green Growth ASEAN Foundation Organisation based in Denmark last October.

At the same time, SMK Raja Perempuan Ipoh is also listed as having among the five best bathrooms at the national level.

The secret of this success is the teamwork between the school and its parent teacher association (PIBG).

This commitment is led by the President of PIBG SMK Raja Perempuan Ipoh, Mohd Syahrizal Azmi and the school management, such as the Principal of SMK Raja Perempuan Ipoh, Wiza Rozahrin Mohamed Radzi, the teachers and the students.

Hopefully this success will place SMK Raja Perempuan Ipoh as among the best schools in Malaysia.
