One hundred participants from all walks of life participated in the Meru Valley Merdeka Run organised by the Meru Valley Resort on Wednesday, August 31. Flagged off by the director of Meru Valley Resort, Christian Bock, the race featured the 6km route for the men and women open as well as the 2km one for kids between 5 to 12 years old. The half-day event began at 6.45am.
Besides commemorating national day, the lively affair was aimed to boost the spirit of togetherness among the resort community, promote a healthy lifestyle and create quality time with family and friends.
Rated as TripAdvisor’s No. 1 destination for outdoor activities in Ipoh, the resort provided the perfect venue for the running enthusiasts to enjoy the view of its sweeping golf course and mountain range. The other attractions of the run were the winning trophy and goodie bags which comprised complimentary T-shirt, cap, facial treatment voucher, finisher’s medal and snacks.
