On November 19, 37 enthusiastic young performers took to the stage, solo or in groups, to showcase their talents in the first ever Ipoh (Also) Got Talent Contest, organised by, and held at, YMCA Ipoh. Aged between 10 and 30, these young contestants demonstrated their various talents, mostly in singing and dancing, but also in less common skills such as beatboxing and pipe band. On hand to launch the event and witness this entertaining preliminary round was Dato’ Seri M. Kayveas, President of the People’s Progressive Party and YMCA President Dato’ Daniel Tay.

At the end of the night, 24 contestants remained in the running for Ipoh’s Most Talented while the lights went out for the rest. Who will be the most talented of them all??

Semi-Finals on November 26 (7.30 p.m.) and the Grand Finals on December 3 (7.30 p.m.), all held at YMCA Ipoh. More info at 05-254 0809.  Entrance is free.
