Sunway’s International Cultural & Prom Night

Sunway College Ipoh (SyCI), a premier private college in the city, celebrated its International Cultural and Prom Night with a glamorous dinner celebration at a local hotel recently. The ‘International Cultural & Prom Night’, was a team effort by staff advisors and the Students’ Council.

The “International Cultural” element is meant to reflect the present and continuing composition of SyCI students’ population, which will contribute positively towards the globalization of their students’ perspectives.

As the staff, industry partners, students and alumni came together to celebrate the occasion, Sunway College Ipoh Director, Mr. Paul Tan took this opportunity to express his sincere gratitude to the Students’ council and the various working committees for organizing this event; their hard work achieved through the invaluable lessons of “Team – Work” would, he was sure, stand them in good stead for their future development.

“The International Cultural & Prom Night inculcated in our students the “holistic” elements that are vital for character building and personal development.” he said. The talented students filled the night with exciting performances like Hip Hop and modern ballet dancing, singing and acting.

At Sunway College Ipoh, education is not just about ‘paper qualifications’. Academic staff guide students to develop their interests and talents, share learning experiences and contribute to society through community-based activities. The study programmes are designed to expose students to new experiences and opportunities and help them discover themselves, and apply themselves productively towards our Globalisation efforts.
