The 4th World Parkinson’s Congress (WPC 2016), an international forum showcasing the latest development in the world of Parkinson’s disease, will be held from Tuesday, September 20 to Friday, September 23 at Portland, Oregon, USA. Everyone in the community who is touched by Parkinson’s, whether a patient, researcher, family member, clinician, nurse, rehab specialist, or just an interested person, is welcome to attend the WPC.

Here, the Perak Parkinson’s Association aspires to provide young neurologists, nurses, physical and occupational therapists, people with Parkinson’s and caregivers an opportunity to attend this triennial forum for dialogue on the latest scientific discoveries, medical practices and caregiver initiatives related to the devastating disease. To date, there are only six qualified Parkinson’s specialist in Malaysia having subspecialties practice in treating the disease.

To accommodate the travel and accommodation cost of 30-40 attendees, up to RM300,000 needs to be raised.
