Universiti Kuala Lumpur Royal College of Medicine Perak (UniKL RCMP) organised an inter-university futsal competition in Ipoh recently. The competition was between medical faculty students from 11 different universities nationwide.
The primary objective of the one-day sporting carnival was to foster goodwill and sporting spirit among competing teams. A total of 22 teams competed, 17 in the male division and five in the female division.
Present to officiate the opening was Dr Muhammad Amin Zakaria, Executive Councillor for Education, Science, Environment and Green Technology.
The winner of the male division was Asian Institute of Medicine, Science and Technology while Perdana University and Universiti Sains Malaysia secured second and third placing, respectively. In the female division, the first and second spots went to separate RCMP teams while USM settled for the third spot.
Winners walked away with cash prizes, medals and Veema products.
