Quick, smart household tricks for cleaning

New non-oil stains on your carpet can be easily removed with a simple mixture of 1 teaspoon of cleaning detergent and 1 teaspoon of white vinegar and mix it with a pint of lukewarm water. Apply it to the stain, gently rub and repeat the process until the stain is gone. For a quick dry, we suggest you to use fan or hair dryer.
Fans of leather? Clean them up by adding white vinegar and linseed oil. Rub it into the leather and then polish with a soft cloth.
2. Baking Powder: Must have in baking cakes and cleaning dirt. Yes, baking powder can do both.
Pet peeing on mattress or sofa? Put baking powder on the spot and leave it overnight or until it is dry. Baking powder will absorb all the urine and the colour (handy for light-colour sofas!) on your cushion. Leaving your couch to smell fresh and look new. You can even spray some perfume or lemon on the spot to discourage your pets from peeing there again.
3. Toothpaste (non-gel)
Waking up in the morning you do the routine. Brush your teeth and wash your face. Then you look at the mirror, you can’t even barely see your face. The mirror is all fogged up and water doesn’t help at all. What do you need? Toothpaste. Coat non-gel toothpaste onto the mirror, wait for few seconds and wipe it off. A brand new mirror for you!Do your children like to get creative on the walls? Scribbles, sketches and drawings filling up the space? Make your walls clean again by rubbing non-gel toothpaste with scrub brush. The abrasiveness in the toothpaste will wipe away the crayons every time. Finish your scrubbing by rinsing the wall with water.
4. Lemon
Use lemon to brighten your clothes. Add lemon juice in a cup of hot water (the ratio is half cup of lemon to 3 litres of water) and soak the clothes in the mix. After a few hours, wash them regularly and dry them up. However, you can’t use this trick on silks or any delicate fabrics. If you are not sure the material of your clothes, try testing it on a small patch first.
