SMJK Yuk Choy will be organising a Canteen Day on Sunday, July 17. The event will commence at 8am and end at 1pm.
The school has set a target to collect RM100,000. The fund will be used to refurbish the facilities in the school. The school has to engage professional trainers for the school basketball team and the Chinese orchestra. This fund will also be utilised to pay the trainers. Moreover, tuition classes will be held for the students who will be sitting for the PT3 and SPM examinations. The money will be channelled to print materials for the students and for their breakfast when they attend the tuition classes which will be held during the school holidays.
There will be about 80 stalls during the Canteen Day selling a variety of food and drinks and even exciting games. There will also be a colouring contest for the primary school students. The school will also organise 3×3 basketball competition which is open to all secondary school students.
Anyone who is interested to rent a stall is required to contribute RM500. The stall can be used to promote and sell their products.
Donors who contribute RM3000 and above will be given the honour to beat the drums on that day. Those who contribute RM1000 will be invited to hit the gongs and anyone who contributes RM200 and above will be invited to cut the ribbons.
