Running on the theme “Dine with Nature”, Kafe Jun Chillax at Bandar Baru Medan offers affordably-priced home-cooked food. It is just the place for those who have no time to cook and who cannot decide on an appropriate meal that suits their pockets.
The pleasant yet cosy cafe is a heart-warming family-run entity with colourful nature-themed illustrations adorning the walls. Potted plants are strategically located for impact with the intention of providing a green and friendly ambience.
Presenting a fusion of Western and Eastern dishes, among the must-haves are Siamese laksa, Hainanese chicken rice, Hainan chicken curry & bread, ulam fried rice, fried chicken wings, deep fried inchi kabin, mixed fruits rojak, sago melaka, bubur cha cha and cendol. Lunch and dinner sets are available while catering services are in the pipeline.
With a capacity of 40, Kafe Jun Chillax gives you a taste of home thanks to its menu which changes daily. One plus point is parking. There is ample space for harried customers.
Ipoh Echo had an exclusive one-on-one with owner, Angela, during its soft launch on Sunday, March 19.
Regarding the cafe’s name, she explained, “Jun is the month I was born while ‘Chillax’ is an amalgam of the words ‘chill’ and ‘relax’.” She hopes Jun Chillax will be the choice place for diners to unwind.
“I like meeting people and having lots of friends. Here, I get to meet people and talk to them. Most of my friends know that I love the people who love me, tenfold,” said the lithesome fortyish Angela. Incidentally, she is an active member of the Perak Women for Women Society.
