Awards were presented to model students, high achievers in the PT3, SPM and STPM examinations, and teachers who contributed to the success of the students. Students who performed well in co-curricular activities received awards too.
SMKSK boasts a 100 per cent pass rate in the STPM examination last year, with five students securing 4As, 30 secured at least 6As in the SPM examination, while eight obtained 10As in the PT3 examination.
“Although academics are of the utmost importance, we give equal emphasis on co-curricular activities as well to ensure the physical, emotional, spiritual and intellectual development of our students,” said principal, Sit Wai Yin.
According to Sit, his students had won awards in a plethora of co-curricular activities ranging from sports to writing and poetry-recital competitions. The school’s Chinese orchestra was nominated for the best performance in a competition held in Hangzhou, China.
The event ended with a dance performance and a musical presentation by the Chinese orchestra club.
