(1) Transitioning to the new economy while generating community benefits
(2) Assess the current trends and challenges for meeting the goals of the IYSTD (International Year of Sustainable Tourism for Development) and UNSDGs (United Nations Sustainable Development Goals 2030)

Theme:- Industrial Heritage Business Development and Marketing Approaches
Scope:
Authenticity and integrity in the site’s live and fixed presentation and interpretation aspects;
Marketing channels and approaches for the target audiences that either incorporates the site as part of a longer tour and specifically for industrial heritage tourists;
how this gets integrated into the existing tourism product mix;
Value-added and experiential challenges at industrial heritage sites to give visitors enhanced, hands-on experiences; and
Monitoring site visitation to determine site marketing effectiveness and delivery on the value proposition.
Discussion of the Industrial eritage Tourism Development and Marketing Approach Exercise, based on the tin mining dredging machine (Tanjung Tualang), charcoal kiln (Kuala Sepetang) and Kinta Valley.

Theme: The Structure of Heritage Marketing Plan
Scope:
Heritage tourism and transition to heritage marketing perspective
Heritage marketing and its functions
Interpret the heritage marketing perspective
Adoption of Up-to-date heritage marketing technique and preparation of structure of heritage marketing plan, specifically on cultural site and museums.
