It was a double celebration for Sunway College Ipoh’s School of Accountancy lecturers and students for the outstanding achievements in the recent June 2017 examination.
Sunway College Ipoh has again attained the ACCA Platinum status in Perak for five consecutive years after it has been confirmed by Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA). The college has achieved 100 per cent pass rate for FTX Foundation in Taxation (MYS) and 94 per cent for Foundation in Financial Management (FFM) in the recent June 2017 examination. The Platinum status affirms that professional qualifications of world-class standards is available right here in Sunway College Ipoh.
Sunway College Ipoh is also proud of the remarkable achievements by two of its students who are World and Malaysia prize winners. Mr Elvis Lim Muk Foong was ranked the 1st in the World and 1st in Malaysia in the Management Information (MA1) paper, while Miss Pon San Ling was ranked the 1st in Malaysia and 5th in the World for the Maintaining Financial Records (FA2) paper. Credit is given to all the dedicated lecturers in the school for their professional guidance and dedication in delivering a holistic learning experience to all its CAT and ACCA students towards meeting the highest standards of the programmes.
Dr Tina Lim, Principal of Sunway College Ipoh, attributes the outstanding results to the diligence of the students and the great commitment by lecturers in ensuring that students are well-prepared for the examination.
