Lineup of Executive Councillors Now Complete

The establishment of the state government administrative machinery is now complete as three additional executive councillors who took their oaths recently were given their respective portfolios to join the lineup of seven executive councillors who were sworn in back in March.

According to Menteri Besar Dato’ Seri Ahmad Faizal Azumu, the Perak State Executive Council (MMK) is a dynamic and committed team working towards rebuilding the economy post-pandemic.

The three new executive councillors are Datuk Mohd Zolkafly Harun, assemblyman for Lintang, Khairul Shahril Mohamed, assemblyman for Bota and Ahmad Saidi Mohamad Daud, asssemblyman for Changkat Jering.

Below are the portfolios of the now complete lineup:

    Finance, Security, Land, Natural Resources, Economic Planning, Statutory Body (GLCs) and National Integration
  2. Dato’ Saarani bin Mohamad
    Rural Development, Entrepreneur Development, Cooperative and Consumer Affairs
  3. Razman bin Zakaria
    Education, Human Capital Development, Non-governmental Organisation and Civic Society
  4. Dato’ Nolee Ashilin binti Dato’ Mohamed Radzi
    Housing, Local Government and Tourism
  5. Dato’ Shahrul Zaman bin Yahya
    Industry, Investment and Corridor Development
  6. Dato’ Abdul Yunus bin Jamahri

Tan Mei Kuan

Tan Mei Kuan graduated with first-class honours and book prize from University of Malaya majoring in languages and linguistics (English). She is proficient in both written and spoken English and Malay. She is also conversant in Mandarin and has knowledge of Japanese and Korean languages. Mei Kuan has been on the Dean’s List for three years running. Having written for the campus newspaper and residential college magazine, joining Ipoh Echo has helped utilise her writing and language skills. In her spare time she enjoys running (races).
