Food Boxes for the Needy

200 food boxes were distributed to the homeless and poor around Ipoh by Honda Ban Hoe Seng with collaboration from the We Care and Share welfare society.

According to the chairman of We Care and Share, Ricky Chin, the food box distribution is a continuous charity effort from both parties to help the needy.

“We’ve been doing so since the start of MCO in late March earlier this year,” he told Ipoh Echo when met today (August 11).

“Hopefully, these food boxes provide temporary relief to those having difficulties buying food,” Chin expressed. “We are doing everything we possibly can to help the unfortunate.”

The food boxes were distributed at two locations, Wu So Peng Restaurant along Jalan Dato Tahwil Azar and KFC in town.

“As of today, around 20,000 food boxes have been distributed,” Chin mentioned. “In line with the National Day celebration, we’ll continue distributing the food boxes daily.”
