School-level National Day Celebration

SMK Raja Chulan launched their school-level National Day celebration today (August 14).

Students and staff of the school were seen waving the Jalur Gemilang flags in view of the launch.

In his speech, the school’s principal, Abdul Manaf Asmuni, urged students to appreciate the independence achieved by the country.

“We’re lucky to be living in a country free from disasters and wars,” he said. “We must defend the country’s independence and not take it for granted.”

According to the school’s senior assistant of student affairs, Mashidah Abu Bakar, multiple activities were planned by the school for students to enliven the celebration, such as the short video contest and ‘I Love Malaysia’ doodle contest.

“We have to adhere to SOPs imposed by the government, thus, all of our activities are optimised for online participation,” Mashidah noted. “Despite being the new norm following the Movement Control Order (MCO), the patriotic spirit in us will not fade.”
