In a related development, the Ipoh City Council (MBI) is issuing temporary hawker permits (PPS) to static hawkers and small businesses, limited only to those selling food and drinks, who wish to operate at designated areas under the council’s administration.
“These businesses will have to maintain cleanliness at their premises and abide by standard operating procedures set by the National Security Council (MKN) and Ministry of Health (MOH),” Rumaizi urged.
“Anyone who wishes to register for the permit may do so at http://penjaja.mbi.gov.my/, where the application form and online application are available.
“They may also register directly in the council building at Hawker Management Division, 5th Floor, Health Department, MBI,” he mentioned.
