Dato’ Seri Ahmad Faizal Azumu announced his resignation as the Menteri Besar at the MB’s former residence today (December 5).
He told reporters so after having another audience with HRH Sultan of Perak, Sultan Nazrin Muizzuddin Shah at 3pm earlier today.
“Through the audience with Sultan Nazrin, I’ve also submitted the resignation letters of the entire executive councillors’ line-up.
“To say it was an honour to have been able to serve as the MB under Sultan Nazrin’s reign is an understatement, as the experience I’ve grasped was truly memorable.
“I am really thankful towards the state secretary, Dato’ Ahmad Suaidi Abdul Rahim and the whole administration of the Perak government, both state and federal-level, who helped me tremendously in countless matters.
“I would like to apologise should any matters be done lesser than from my part. I’m just an ordinary human being after all, with inevitable flaws. I’ve done my best,” Faizal expressed on the verge of tears.
“If anyone ever crosses shoulders with me in the future, please do not hesitate to greet me, the now former MB,” he added.
