Potholes No More

Some RM200,000 will be allocated by the Ipoh City Council (MBI) for road reparation works around Ipoh.

Dato’ Rumaizi Baharin

According to the Mayor of Ipoh, Dato’ Rumaizi Baharin, the allocation is for this month of January.

“The monthly allocation will be adjusted based on the latest weather and environmental condition.

“Undeniably, when the rainy season arrives, there’ll be many road damages, particularly potholes.

“Despite allocation from the Malaysian Road Record Information System (MARRIS), the council has decided to allocate additional funds to fix the roads in response to complaints received.”

He told reporters so when asked about road damages around town after launching a community tree-planting programme at a field centering Taman Rishah Indah near Buntong, Ipoh today (January 9).

“This will be an ongoing process, thus I sincerely hope for citizens’ patience while we address this issue with all our might,” Rumaizi expressed.
