Ipoh Parade Celebrates CNY Safe and In Style

Ipoh Parade is set for selfies as it is decked with splashes of red shades and floral decorations to capture the festive mood of this Spring Festival.

A photograph taken at the red tunnel—for your bucket list—is a must as it is adorned with rows of plum blossoms and red lanterns. Step inside the mall’s main concourse to immerse in the ambiance of Chinese cultural traditions.

“We turn our mall into a showpiece to lift the festive mood of our shoppers as we know many have been badly affected by the COVID-19 pandemic. To motivate the Chinese community to look forward to ushering in a cheerful and brighter Chinese New Year is our contribution above cost concern,” explained the mall’s Advertising and Promotions Assistant Manager, Lim Huey Tyng.

Themed ‘Happy Niu Year, in the Mood for Prosperity’, visitors to the mall will be greeted by the spectacle of luminous red lanterns, floral decors and piped-in music of popular CNY songs.

The Chinese New Year celebration in Ipoh Parade is an event highly anticipated by the local community each year and the mall is keeping this annual tradition alive. Visitors can rest assured as Ipoh Parade has undertaken the necessary precautionary measures comprising mandatory check-ins via the MySejahtera App and temperature taking prior to entering the premises, as well as having regular public service announcements every half an hour to remind shoppers to put on their masks properly, maintain a safe distance and practise good personal hygiene.

On top of that, the mall’s common areas are disinfected and cleaned on a scheduled basis. Depending on the situation, crowd control measures will be implemented such as setting up Q poles and barricades to manage the anticipated increase in shoppers.

“We know that the past year has been a challenging one for many of us, but we want to encourage everyone to continue to be positive-minded and rise up stronger as we charge into the Year of the Ox,” added Lim via a press release dated today (February 1).

In celebration of the festive season, Ipoh Parade is rewarding shoppers with its exclusive Moo Moo Angpow Packets. Shoppers who spend a minimum amount of RM68 in a maximum of two receipts until February 11 will be entitled to redeem the angpow packets. Redemption can be made at the mall’s information counter.
