Roadside Pickle Sellers to Be Seriously Dealt With

Pickle sellers conducting business activities at roadsides, particularly near traffic lights, is becoming more of a common sight.

State police chief, Datuk Mior Faridalathrash Wahid urged these sellers to cease doing so.

“We’ve previously issued warnings to these sellers. Not only does it disturb traffic flow, but it’s also detrimental to the safety of both themselves and road users.

“We understand the ongoing tough time where it’s difficult to earn income. There are many other suitable locations around town that are safe for them to conduct their businesses.

“Thus, I strictly reiterate that should these business activities continue on the road, we’ll take further actions on both sellers and road users who patronise the pickle businesses.

“Inspections will be ongoing to monitor the business activities,” he told reporters during a media session at the Perak Senior Police Officers’ Mess in Ipoh earlier today (March 25).
