During the same media session earlier today on a separate matter, Saarani said that some 20,000 smartphones are being distributed to students under the B40 category in the state under the Cikgu Saarani Tuition programme.
“The smartphones are to facilitate students’ home-based learning and teaching (PdPR) sessions. Qualifying students are identified via the State Education Department and District Education Offices.
“The government will be channeling the aid via state assembly members’ (ADUN) service centres around Perak to hasten the process while avoiding distribution programmes in groups.
“Hopefully, the smartphones will greatly assist students who will be commencing their PdPR sessions this Saturday (May 22) onwards,” he expressed.
