Masks and Hygiene Kits for EMCO Frontliners in Perak

As a start, some 5,000 sets of masks and hygiene kits will be distributed to the security personnel on duty at enhanced movement control order (EMCO) areas in Perak.

According to a statement by the Perak Menteri Besar’s office dated today (May 24), this was announced by MB Dato’ Saarani Mohamad in a half-hour online meeting with top security officials earlier today.

In attendance were the state police chief Datuk Mior Faridalathrash Wahid, directors of the state-level National Security Council (MKN), Civil Defence Force (APM) and The People’s Volunteer Corps (RELA), respectively Khairul Ridzuan Mat Said, Noor Azam Johari and Kamarul Idzham Kamal.

“In an overall sense, everything is under control. Each department is in top condition and occasional reports are submitted to the COVID-19 Immunisation Task Force (CITF).

“More masks and kits will be distributed depending on requirements from the security personnel.

“Saarani also expressed his appreciation for the security frontliners in bearing the responsibility entrusted to them to prevent further transmission of COVID-19.

“The state government looks into the needs of on-duty EMCO personnel very seriously in ensuring that they obtain sufficient protection from the deadly virus, including provision of masks and hygiene kits.

“He is confident with the entire security team’s earnest joint effort in breaking the chain of COVID-19 infection which has been showing worrying trends as of late,” the statement added.
