House on Fire at Kampung Jarau, No Victims Reported

A house was destroyed by fire at Kampung Jarau near Sauk in Kuala Kangsar in the wee hours earlier today (May 25).

According to a spokesperson for the Perak Fire and Rescue Department (JBPM), an emergency call regarding the incident was received at around 12.22am.

“A squad and a vehicle from the Kuala Kangsar Fire and Rescue Station (BBP), with assistance from Sungai Siput BBP were rushed to the location immediately after.

“Upon arrival, the C-class house of 15×15 feet has already been 80 percent consumed by fire. No victims were involved, thankfully.

“Two hose reels of 100 feet each with two jets were used to extinguish the fire. Investigations are ongoing to determine the cause of the fire,” he explained.

The operation which ended at around 2.02am was led by Senior Assistant Fire Superintendent (PKPgB) Ahmad Izuwan Zakaria.
