Three male suspects linked to a murder were issued a remand of seven days starting today (May 31) until June 6.

Ipoh Sessions/Magistrate Court Assistant Registrar Azuratul Akmar conducted the case.

The suspects, aged between 26 to 34, are currently investigated under Section 302 of the Penal Code for murder.

All three suspects had past offences under Section 363 of the Penal Code for kidnapping and the Dangerous Drugs Act 1952, among others.

Previously on Wednesday (May 26), a body believed to be the murder victim involved had surfaced on the waters of Kinta River at Taman Desa Aman near Pengkalan, Ipoh.

The Ipoh District Police Headquarters (IPD) chief Assistant Commissioner A. Asmadi Abdul Aziz told reporters that the body was found at around 6pm with the head and left hand disintegrated.

“Pathologists verified that the victim had already met his demise between two to three days earlier.

“Post-mortem found that the cause of death was a result of injury to soft tissues by sharp objects, bruises and wounds by self-defense and struggles,” he mentioned.
