Motorcycles Consumed by Fire, No Victims Reported

Four motorcycles were destroyed by fire at McDonald’s Jalan Kuala Kangsar in Ipoh in the wee hours today (June 15).

According to a spokesperson for the Perak Fire and Rescue Department (JBPM), an emergency call was received at around 12.02am.

“A squad and a vehicle from the Ipoh Fire and Rescue Station (BBP), along with the volunteer fire brigade (PBS) from Pekan Baru were rushed to the location right after.

“Upon arrival, the motorcycles had already been consumed by the fire, with damages having reached 60 percent.

“The squad used a hose reel to completely extinguish the fire. No victims were involved,” he explained, adding that an investigation is ongoing to determine the cause of the fire.

The operation which ended at around 12.39am was led by Senior Fire Officer II (PBK II) Mahmud Azzadin.
