Upholding the Culture of Benevolence

Righteous Group, a partner of Canai He & Me, was established in 2017 by Virginia Tham with their Ipoh service centre headed by Alicia Wong.

Their mission is to uphold the culture of benevolence together with a group of partners to convey love and health to the general public.

Working under the motto ‘Like the Bird we don’t fly alone, but move and work as a Team to achieve our respective life goals’, the group aims to lend a helping hand to vulnerable communities especially during the current ongoing Movement Control Order (MCO).

On June 26, they distributed groceries to 50 residents of a B40 residential flat in Kampung Paloh, Ipoh. The contribution was mainly sponsored by Righteous Group with additional fundraising and assistance from Soroptimist International Ipoh (SII). The venue had been identified by Mohammad Faiz Bin Abdullah, a passionate local social activist who also participated in the distribution.

Ipoh Echo applauds SII President Kimberly Tan for her indefatigable efforts in obtaining sponsorships, as well as the members of SII for their tireless fundraising efforts.

SII regularly organises aid distributions of their own to underprivileged communities. One of their recent projects include distributing daily necessities to the residents of Anjung Tawas Flat with the help of Faiz. Refer to this article by Ipoh Echo for further reading.
