Accident at Bagan Serai, Two Victims Reported

An accident involving two vehicles and two victims occurred at Jalan Lembah Beriah, Taman Lembah Beriah in Bagan Serai earlier today (July 19).

According to a spokesperson for the Perak Fire and Rescue Department (JBPM), an emergency call was received at around 1.27pm.

“Upon arrival of a squad and a vehicle from the Bagan Serai Fire and Rescue Station (BBP), a Proton Wira and an empty three-tonne lorry were found to have collided into each other.

“The Proton Wira driver, a female citizen aged around 54 who was found conscious, sustained injuries after getting stuck at the driver’s seat due to the collision. The lorry driver, however, only sustained minor injuries.

“The squad installed a cervical collar on the female victim before using hydraulic support equipment to facilitate sufficient space in getting her out of the crash site.

“Preliminary treatment was given to the victim before she was handed over to on-site health staff for further actions,” the spokesperson explained.

The operation which ended at around 2.28pm was led by Senior Fire Officer II (PBK II) Saini Manap.
