Morale Booster for Frontliners from Dato Dr. Majumder

Dato Dr Majumder

Dato’ Dr. M Majumder, the country’s first woman dermatologist, continues to show great enthusiasm to be of service to the community. Popularly known as the “Mother Teresa of Ipoh”, she embarked on yet another morale boosting drive to present 250 cupcakes per day to several Klinik Kesihatan (government health clinic) branches in Ipoh.

Her aim in distributing the cupcakes is to express her appreciation and gratitude to the frontliners for their tireless hard work and endless dedication in the fight against COVID-19. Infinitas Technologies (M) Sdn Bhd, through its souvenirs, hampers and flower wing — “Felorra Flowers” — assisted her with the making and distribution of the cupcakes.

The gesture was aimed to provide much needed encouragement and a morale boost to the frontliners on duty at the clinics.

Among the first to receive the cupcakes were Klinik Kesihatan in Greentown at 10.30am on Monday (July 12), followed by a similar session at Klinik Gunung Rapat.

On Tuesday, the Klinik Kesihatan branches in Buntong and Jelapang received their allocation, while from Wednesday until Friday, frontliners at Hospital Bahagia in Tanjong Rambutan received theirs. On Thursday, it was the turn of the frontliners at Klinik Kesihatan in Kampung Simee to receive the contribution.

All in all, a total of 1,250 cupcakes were distributed successfully.

Dato’ Dr. M Majumder is no stranger to charitable work as she was the first woman Chairperson of the Perak branch of the Malaysian Medical Association in 1981.

She was also the first lady President of the Rotary Club of Greentown in 1995. Dato’ Dr. M Majumder is also known for her work at the Perak Society for Promotion of Mental Health (PSPMH) for decades.
