The Telekom Malaysia Berhad (TM) Complex in Taiping has emerged as the first-ever integrated (public and private) vaccination centre (PPV) in Perak, in the effort towards progress of the ongoing National COVID-19 Immunisation Programme (PICK).
According to the general manager of TM Perak, Badrul Hisham Bahari, the complex is TM’s third property overall in Malaysia to be converted into a PPV, after the establishment of an integrated mega PPV at MMU Campus in Cyberjaya, Selangor and another PPV at MMU Campus in Malacca.
“The PPV here in Taiping TM Complex is able to accommodate the administration of up to 1,800 doses per day.
“Apart from the spacious availability of Dewan Rumpun Seri and Dewan Kemboja, as well as the parking areas at the complex, the PPV is also equipped with high speed Unifi broadband connectivity for the convenience of those who got their vaccination appointments here,” he said in a statement dated today (September 2).
The Executive Councillor for Health, Science, Environment and Green Technology, Mohd Akmal Kamarudin was present during the first day of the PPV’s affairs on August 16 this year.
“We’re happy to be able to extend our support in further hastening the progress of PICK in Perak.
“It’s our role in assisting the nation to bounce back from the pandemic, which goes beyond merely providing essential services to all walks of life in Malaysia.
“As one of the main enablers of Digital Malaysia, TM will continue supporting our customer segments across homes, businesses, industries as well as public sectors with connectivity, along with digital infrastructure and solutions towards economic recovery,” Badrul Hisham added.
