A handover ceremony was held at the Taiping Hospital recently following the full completion of an upgrade project involving its Block A and B.
Present was Dato’ Dr. Ding Lay Ming, the State Health Director, as the guest of honour.
Fully completed in May, the buildings house a total of 206 beds for the use of the Medical Department and Paediatric Department.
The handover serves as the catalyst to efficient healthcare services and a more conducive and comfortable treatment environment for patients.
In her speech, Dr. Ding expressed her gratitude to the director and department heads of the hospital who have provided support in completing the project.
She also thanked the Ministry of Health in ensuring the realisation of the project.
The ceremony saw the signing of a handover certificate between Dr. Ding and Yahaya Saad, Senior Deputy Director (Regulatory) of the Engineering Services Division of the Ministry of Health.
It was followed by a handover of replica keys to the director of Taiping Hospital.
