‘New Normal, Same Cancer’ Initiative: Providing Easier Access to Cancer Screening

By Mei Kuan

Launched in November 2021, the “New Normal, Same Cancer” initiative is a joint collaboration of the National Cancer Society Malaysia, Pink Unity and Lung Cancer Network Malaysia with the support of AstraZeneca Malaysia.

It is aimed to support and inspire all of us to prioritise our health as we battle with cancer amidst the pandemic.

The “New Normal, Same Cancer” campaign has partnered with hospitals nationwide to provide easier access to cancer screening.

According to a Facebook post of the National Cancer Society Malaysia today, discounted mammogram voucher is also available via the initiative’s website: www.newnormalsamecancer.org/where-to-go/

“Today we honour and celebrate all the strong mothers who have been a pillar of love and strength to families worldwide.

“Other than showering your mom with gifts and flowers this Mother’s Day, you can gift her better health by bringing her to a mammogram screening.

This platform is intended for people at-risk of or living with cancer and members of the general public.
