By KT Leong

Christmas will come early for 400 underprivileged children in Perak as they’re treated by the Perak State Government to experience the UK Bubble Show organised by Persatuan Seni Tarian & Pendidikan Antarabangsa,( PSTPA) on Dec 21 at 8 pm.

Major Chelvee, social and community service officer of Salvation Army says, “Events like these are important for our children’s mental health as it brings hope and adds joy to them. We want to continue to provide a positive quality of life so that they can give back to the community. We truly appreciate the efforts of the organisers to make this event possible for everyone in Ipoh”

This charity event is supported by the Perak State Government and Tourism Perak and is in-line with the Perak’s Government vision to promote Perak as a hub for edu-cultural tourism. It also celebrates and reintroduces Ipoh as the centre of arts, culture and edu-tainment

The Perak State Government’s Chairman of the Tourism, Industry, Investment and Corridor Development Committee, YB Loh Sze Yee says this charity event can not only attract local residents, international and expatriate visitors into and within Perak, but will help in stimulating the tourism industry as it also opens doors to global opportunities.

  • The UK Bubble Show is the first of its kind in Malaysia. The event features Eran The Bubble Man, one of the top bubble artists in the world, who holds multiple world records and has won many international awards in bubble art like the Best Family-Act award Face TV New Zealand 2016 , Audience Choice Award Nelson Fringe 2018 and Top Children’s Entertainer Award, NZ Variety Artists club 2019.
  • The main highlight of this event will see Mr Eran setting a new world record with fellow audiences – the most people in the world in a bubble for 30 seconds.

“I’m extremely excited to be in Ipoh. It’s such a lovely city with an engaging and encouraging audience. I can’t wait to perform again next year.”

Audiences to the 90-minute interactive and fun charity show were delighted by Mr Eran’s extraordinary soap bubbles in all shapes and sizes – there were bouncy bubbles, bubbles inside bubbles, smoke bubbles, square bubbles, giant bubbles and even fire bubbles! The Bubble Show is a unique blend of magic, storytelling and bubble art!

Audrey Kwan, President of PSTPA said “I believe arts and culture play a great role in human development. Educational events such as the UK Bubble Show brings international exposure to our children, builds confidence and stimulates creativity; and can be linked to freedom in education while promoting a positive standard of living”

Since its establishment, PSTPA has been working to provide international exposure to the community by promoting arts, culture and education through productions, workshops, international student exchanges, scholarships and talent scouting.
