Four houses destroyed by fire

Four houses were reportedly destroyed in a fire incident in Jalan Taman Pertama, Aulong this morning.

A spokesman for the Malaysian Fire and Rescue Department (JBPM) Perak said that the Taiping Fire and Rescue Station (BBP) received an emergency call at 9.01 am informing them of the incident.

He said members rushed to the scene of the incident for rescue operations with the assistance of BBP Bagan Serai and BBP Kamunting.

“Members put out the fire by using two 61 metre streams and four fountains sourced from fire hydrants until the fire was completely extinguished.

“The fire involved four houses, however no victims were involved,” he said.

He said the case was handled by Operations Chief, Rafeel Hairul Richard and Zone Officers 2, Zaipul Bahri Mat Rusok and Hasna Rashid.

“The entire operation ended at 11.29 am,” he said.
