Expand people’s activities with government agencies

By Aida Aziz

If previously most of the dealings between the people and government agencies were done on weekdays, now they have the opportunity to meet on weekends.

According to the Chairman of the State Communications, Multimedia and NGO Committee, Mohd Azlan Helmi, such programmes make it easier for the community to complete their affairs, especially on weekends.

“Most people if they want to deal with an agency, they have to deal on a working day, so we ask for the help of all the agencies to come together to make it easier for them.

“In addition, the weekend can be best utilised by residents with various opportunities and facilities provided by government departments and agencies,” he said.

He said this to reporters in a press conference after officiating the PerakFM Wow Carnival ‘Tualang Sekah Kita Bersaudara’ at the Tualang Sekah People’s Arena, here, on Saturday.

Also present was, Member of the State Legislative Assembly (ASSEM) Malim Nawar, Shasha Veriah and the Director of the Perak State Broadcasting Department, Syazariah Majidi.

In the meantime, he said this initiative was taken from the efforts made by the Menteri Besar of Perak, namely Customer Meet Day (HBP).

“We have plans to expand activities between government agencies and the people in other districts after this,” he said.

A total of 17 departments and agencies are involved in the programme this time, including the Kampar District and Land Office, the Malaysian Multimedia Communications Commission (MCMC), the Perak Foundation, the National Anti-Drug Agency (AADK) and the Malaysian Ministry of Health (KKM).

In addition to the service counter, the public can also do a health screening and also a free motorcycle inspection at the Tapah Hospital and also the Perak State Road Transport Department (JPJ) provided.

In the same development, in addition to services and exhibitions, a corporate social responsibility (CSR) programme was also held to help less fortunate people in the area.
